A George III provincial oak bureau, the fall encloses an arrangement of pigeonholes, drawers and a small door incorporating secret compartments. The baize has been added and will be removed when restored to reveal polished wood. It has an arrangement of four graduating drawers each with fine hand cut dovetail joint brass ring pull handles and decorative escutcheon. The bracket feet are missing awaiting restoration.
